Book ClubShort stories and novels are read, discussed and debated. This club meets monthly in the Rabbi's study at 6:30pm

 

Reel Torah
Reel TorahInspiring and thought-provoking movies with Jewish content are previewed and discussed. This group meets at a different home every month.

 

Limmud Class – Wednesdays at 7:30pm
LimmundEvery Wednesday evening Rabbi Rubinstein leads a discussion of The Torah of Relationships. A roundtable approach is used and everyone's participation is vital to the experience. Participants explore a range of Jewish and secular texts that relate to various aspects of human relationships.  This group meets in the Rabbi’s study.

Lunch and Learn – Thursdays at Noon
Lunch & LearnRabbi Rubinstein leads a discussion on the Torah portion of the week. Using the collaborative approach, everyone is encouraged to help analyze the Torah portion. Bring your own dairy or pareve lunch.  This group meets in the Beth Sholom Board Room.

Adult Hebrew – Thursdays at 4:30pm
Hebrew ClassJudy Holzer teaches a weekly Hebrew language course for beginners and novices as well as those who would like to brush up on their reading skills. This class starts each Fall with beginning Hebrew reading. By the end of the year, students use their Hebrew reading skills to study prayers from the daily, Shabbat, and Holiday services. New students are welcome to join at any time, since the class is set up to support a "quick-start.” If you are interested in participating in this class, please contact Judy Holzer.
